I spent 2013 and 2014 working on films and didn't do much photography. For most of this time, I was broke. I traveled little and usually went to bed hungry.
Nevertheless, I grew during this period; I was tested to my absolute limits, which developed character I would not otherwise have.
Below are some frames from along the way.

My gym membership ended in 2012, and over the next 6 months I assembled a home gym. I still work out with this equipment,
though in September 2013 I developed tendonitis in my elbow that has greatly restricted my ability to exercise.

In the summer of 2013, I began to record stand-up comedy and sell comics the footage for their reels (or edit reels for them myself).
It was a lot of fun and I met some very interesting people, some of whom have become close friends.

In March of 2014, my friends Steve and Jess tied the knot in San Antonio.
My first time in Texas, and hopefully not the last.

For Memorial Day weekend in 2014, I went camping in the Thousand Islands region of New York.
Each evening I sat at the edge of the water eating grilled food and watching night fall over the land.
I got the best rest of my life sleeping on the ground in a tent, listening to the frogs and crickets.
It was some of the deepest peace I have ever experienced.

Portraits remain my favorite subject.

Some fall colors from 2014.
