2012 IN REVIEW

2012 was an exciting time, but I took fewer pictures than any other year since I got into photography. I didn't even take enough pictures to make multiple albums. Why? I'm not sure. I also did far less traveling than usual, focusing my time, money, and creative powers on filmmaking. Hurricane Sandy wiped out the fall colors in New York before they could peak. I've begun to avoid the Halloween parade (canceled this year due to Sandy, in fact) and even the Coney Island parade is becoming a drag (no pun intended), with the hostility to photographers from both police and the crowd behind the rope. I hardly ever just went out to explore and make pictures like I used to. Nevertheless, I did my best to carry a camera with me whenever I could.
